A little bit about me
My story
Having struggled with digestive issues for most of my life, countless GP appointments left me without answers. Over time, new symptoms began to emerge; poor mental health, excruciating pain during my irregular cycles, and, eventually, joint inflammation which affected my ability to use my hands during flare-ups.
Eventually, I began to connect more with my body through yoga and ayurveda, an ancient holistic approach to health, which completely shifted my perspective and understanding of my symptoms, and shortly after I decided to reach out to a nutritional therapist to get to the root cause of my symptoms and see if I could change my health for good.
Through my own health journey, the most valuable thing I learnt was understanding how interconnected everything was. My gut, my hormones, my mood, my pain - it was all linked. I started learning how my body truly works, and how the way that I look after my body today, will help me now but also long into the future.
I completed three years of Nutritional Therapy training with the College of Naturopathic Medicine, earning a Distinction, and spent a further 10 months learning a functional medicine approach to Women’s Health with a leader in her field, Tanya Borowski. I’m registered as a Nutritional Therapist with the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners (ANP). I also still teach yoga and find that yogic principles are aligned with key elements of nutritional therapy.
My approach to your health
As a nutritional therapist, I don’t just treat symptoms. My goal is to uncover the root cause of what's going on beneath the surface. By taking a thorough case history to best understand your unique body and biochemistry, I help you create the right conditions for your body to find balance through targeted nutrition and lifestyle support.
Since everybody is unique, with different histories, goals, personalities and everyday life, everything I do takes into account the individual person. I’ll work alongside you and make sure that recommendations are manageable and sustainable so that you get the most out of your plans.
