Mia Karam-Stait Nutrition provides nutritional therapy services to clients to improve their health through diet and lifestyle interventions.  We focus on preventative healthcare, the optimisation of physical and mental health and chronic health conditions.  Through nutritional therapy consultations, dietary and lifestyle analysis and biochemical or functional testing, we aim to understand the underlying causes of your health issues which we will seek to address through personalised dietary therapy, nutraceutical prescription (supplements) and lifestyle advice.

This privacy policy ("policy") will help you understand how Mia Karam-Stait Nutrition ("us", "we", "our") uses and protects the data you provide to us when you visit and use www.miakaramstaitnutrition.com ("website ", "service"). We will use the personal and health information you provide to:

  • Liaise with you regarding appointments, events, webinars, and general support

  • Process your appointments and product orders

  • Maintain medical records and health histories for the duration of your treatment under Mia's guidance

  • Share relevant medical or functional testing results with the processing laboratory or general practitioner where required as part of your plan

  • Any information supplied to your GP for test requests or health concerns will be passed through the clients to share with their general practitioner. We would not contact your GP without your permission.

Confidentiality

All personal and health information shared within your therapeutic relationship with Mia Karam-Stait Nutrition is treated with the utmost respect and confidentiality. Your information will not be disclosed to any third party without your prior consent, except in the following circumstances:

  • Safeguarding concerns where there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or others, disclosure may be required in accordance with our legal and ethical obligations

  • Legal requirement where we are required to share information by law or court order

  • Clinical supervision case details may be discussed with a professional supervisor for the purpose of maintaining the quality of your care; this is conducted in accordance with professional ethical guidelines and anonymity is maintained wherever possible

In all other circumstances, your information remains strictly confidential between you and Mia Karam-Stait Nutrition.

Your data & what happens if you 'opt out'?

You have the right to request we erase any data we hold about you. Mia Karam-Stait Nutrition uses email and telephone to contact our clients. If you ‘opt out’ of us storing your details, please be aware that we be unable to provide our services to you.

Terms of Business

Services: All nutrition services are provided by Mia Karam-Stait Nutrition. The scope, structure, and content of all services (including consultations, programmes, plans, and written materials) are determined solely by the owner of the business.

Work Carried Out: Once a package or programme has commenced, no refunds can be made for any work already carried out, whether in full or in part. This includes, but is not limited to, consultations delivered, plans created, research undertaken, or time spent preparing personalised materials.

Cancellation & Refunds: Refunds may be issued in line with the business cancellation policy only if work has not already been carried out. If a cancellation occurs before work has begun, any eligible refund will be assessed according to the below cancellation policy in place at the time of booking.

For an initial consultation, if a cancellation is made within 48 hours prior to the appointment then 50% of the cost of that consultation is required. For follow-up consultations, if a cancellation is made within 24 hours prior to the appointment then 50% of the cost of that follow-up is required. If you cancel outside of this period, you receive a full refund. If you change or reschedule your appointment, then no cost is incurred for the first reschedule, thereafter, the above applies.

Cancellation & Force Majeure

In the event of circumstances beyond my reasonable control, including but not limited to illness, family emergency, extreme weather, or other unforeseen events, I reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any session at short notice. In such circumstances, no liability will be accepted for any inconvenience caused, and a full rescheduled appointment will be offered at the earliest available opportunity. I also reserve the right to cancel or terminate services with any client at my discretion, with reasonable notice given where possible.

Payment Terms

Payment is due within 7 days of the date of invoice. If you have chosen to pay in instalments, each payment is due within 7 days of the session it relates to. Failure to make payment by the due date may result in the postponement or cancellation of future sessions.

Owner Discretion: All decisions regarding: (1)The nature of the work provided (2) Whether work has commenced (3) Eligibility for refunds are made at the sole discretion of the business owner, acting reasonably and in good faith.

Acceptance of Terms: By booking or purchasing services from Mia Karam-Stait Nutrition, clients will be required to sign off that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Business including Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
